Although I was applying for a position far senior to my level (the description required 10+ years experience at a top tier hedge fund, and I had less than 3), the interview was less intimidating than expected. The manager at Soros Fund was kind and soft-spoken. He quizzed me on C# .NET and SQL, nothing too advanced. Even though I did not get the job, I left with a good impression of the company, and will probably re-apply when I have more years of experience.

email got, then a 45min hm call, next coder pad 2.5hours project and files. Then in person with some tech guys , cto and risk manager final. asked about resume background, python sql when to use them, what is the process when it comes to inputs , where does the data come from and what happens , what metrics & who supplies the equations, sql . Then i got an in person 2hr interview. one was dev and the other the HM. the HM was unpleasant and kept trying to disprove the candidate. The HM didnt even show in person to the interview.
