The interview was 4 stages for me and took a month (received first HR email about interview in April 2022, received offer early May 2022)
1) A recruiter reached out via and gave a few questions they wanted me to answer before the interview. Questions were mainly about pay expectations, why Sony, why you want to leave your current role, and when can you start. First was call with HR going over these questions and them doing a very brief introduction of the position and any general questions you had for HR.
2) Interview with hiring manager. This was mainly them going over the role and duties as described, why the need for this role came about, and behavioral questions to see if the fit is good.
3) Panel interview with hiring manager + the member of the team whos role I'll be taking over for + HR recruiter. I thought it was interesting that a recruiter was part of the interview as I've never seen that before. It was just them asking questions regarding the role and stuff to make sure that you'd be a good fit for the role. HR even chimed in with some questions as well, but more of your interpersonal skills and problem solving.
4) Call from recruiter that I got offered the position. I had other interviews in process but they weren't able to provide much extra time since they were trying to fill the role ASAP. You can negotiate your pay at this time.
Overall the experience was great. It was pretty fast with an interview each week. My recruiter was very on top with communicating that I never really thought to reach out earlier lol.
