The technical interview was a positive experience, thanks to the incredibly kind and communicative interviewers who were open to feedback. Their approach is something the management could learn from. However, when I mentioned that my expected salary was negotiable, it does not mean you can offer a lower salary without giving anything to offset that. If my salary expectations exceed the budget, it would be more respectful to decline my application rather than prolong the decision-making process.
