Applied directly through their website. A few days later I got a surprise phone call from a recruiter at the company in the middle of the work day. To my shock it was a surprise interview and they wanted to interview me right then and there. I apologized and told them I would have to reschedule because I have a meeting and asked if they could call back in an hour. Their response was rather rude, but eventually they agreed. An hour comes and goes and I don't get a call so I go and eat dinner. Then suddenly here we go again, they are calling ready to interview while I have a full plate of food in front of me. They immediately start asking questions about the tech stack and when I answer there a long pauses in between. Then they asked for a salary and it was WELL under what I was currently making and their response was again rude. At this point I thanked them for their time and rushed them off the phone so I could go back to my cold asparagus. I have to say, eating that cold asparagus was far more enjoyable than having another minute of conversation with this company.

My resume was sent through contractor. I think that is the best way to go as when i applied years ago directly no one ever contacted me. 30 min technical interview with basic OOPS concepts and SQL In person interview for 2 and half hours on campus with Vice President, Team Manager, Senior Developer and then with Architect. Very high level questions followed by in depth white board testing and algorithm complexity. It felt like they want more fundamentally sound candidate than the one that has zillion skills.
