Highly unprofessional. It's a couple that runs the business and they brought their baby with them who was fussing and crying throughout and made it so that I couldn't focus well (and they certainly weren't, either). Then they asked me the most horrible/bizarre interview question I could ever imagine: what is the worst thing that has ever happened to you? ,,,,why

Thank you for your feedback! We haven't had a baby around Social High Rise in over five years, so your experience was quite some time ago, but you raise a valid point. We should not have had a baby around during your interview. We do recall one particular day, years ago, when we had interviews scheduled and an emergency happened where childcare fell through. In any other scenario, that would have been a "take the day off from work" situation (fully paid, of course -- because we have unlimited paid time off). However, in this case, we didn't want to cancel interviews at the last minute, especially since some folks were coming from out of town, so we rolled with it. Also, the interview question you're likely referring to is this: what's one of the hardest things you've ever done in your life? We've received great answers to this question and it usually helps us to gain a glimpse into a person's experience navigating challenging situations with resilience, empathy, and grace.
