After meeting a few Slalom consultants at a local event, I met with one senior consultant over coffee to discuss opportunities. After a phone screen with recruiting I then had an in-person interview with the manager of the team that might be a good fit for my skillset. I received positive and open feedback following the interview, but was told that they didn't currently have a role that would be a good fit for me at that time. Fast forward almost 10 months (I checked in occasionally and Slalom was good about keeping in contact during that time, including inviting me to local events that they were hosting in the community), a position became available, I had four more interviews and a conversation with the GM and then accepted the offer to join Slalom. For the most part, interviews were conversational in nature and focused on fit and interests. While the process took a long time, the entire experience was positive.
