My situation was unique; i was approached by Director of Marketing for Teamcenter at Siemens PLM via linkedin; for a position that was open on his team. The entire process involved 3 phone interviews and 1 in person interview. The initial interview was over the phone with the Director of Marketing for Teamcenter it was less of an interview and more of a chat and lasted for about 30-40min and it comprised of about 50% of questions about my background and the other 50% about the role itself. The second interview was over the phone with a Product Manager for Systems Driven Product Development; it was more of a formal interview which lasted for about ~ 1hr 10min. About 10min of the interview was about specific questions related to my background the rest of the time were questions situational and procedural questions related the position. The third interview was in person with the Director of Marketing for Teamcenter he came to Toronto to interview me. This interview lasted for about 1.5hrs and again it was less of a formal interview and more of a chat about my background why i was looking to make the move from Sr Software and Embedded Systems Engineering to Product Marketing Manager. This interview was more about getting to know me; rather than looking to gage my competency for the applied role. The fourth and final interview was with the Vice President of Product Management, Marketing and Business Development, Lifecycle Collaboration Software. This was a relatively short interview as the VP was running late. It again felt like an a getting to you type interview; The questions that were asked all revolved around my background.

I was recommended by a friend he worked in this company. Two interviewers, one from marketing and another was from sales. they pretty much focused on behavioral interview, asked me questions like your biggest achievement, your biggest failure, how you work with others, etc. Very standard questions. Two weeks after the interview, I got the offer. and I accepted it.
