Interviewed with the assistant manager first. Final interview was with the store manager. It was a good experience, the hiring decision was made by the in store management, which was nice because it gives the opportunity to make a personal connection during the interview. It can be tough having to pass through district or regional management to be hired into a company when it is unlikely that you'll interact with those higher level managers much at all during your time with the organization. Sherwin also has a good manager training program for college graduates, without a degree it's nearly impossible to get into that though. Which is strange because they don't even make a distinction between fields of study, they just want a bachelor's degree of any sort. It's possible to become management without a degree, but very rare.
