Entrevista
It was fairly easy. Had an initial phone screen with the hiring manger who was extremely nice. He asked me questions about my portfolio and some general UX practices.
My in-person interview consisted of 6 rounds. Started off with portfolio review with the team, then had five 1:1 interviews. Everyone was extremely professional and made me very comfortable. They were genuinely interested to learn more about me.
Finally they explained about the team and the company which made me feel very confident to join the team.

The interviewer was lacking experience in handling the senior level candidates . Felt his assessment skills were not upto the mark and accurate. Completely disappointed with the hiring process. Not sure on what basis the HR recruiter has chosen the interviewer with 6 years experience to assess 10 years experience candidate for a senior level role. Personally felt the process was very unfair as it requires a senior level skills to undertsand the whole design thinking. Deeply disappointed for being eliminated by a inexperienced interviewer who was given such responsibility.

Entrevista
My interview process with ServiceNow involved a recruiter screen, two hiring manager interviews, followed by a design exercise and presentation.
I consider design exercises to be pretty standard for a UX interview process, so I don’t mind spending time completing them. After I present my Design exercise, it’s crickets. I had to reach out 4 times before I finally heard back. As a candidate who spent 8 hours working on the Design exercise, I felt that this treatment was disrespectful of a candidate's time.
The sense I got from this experience is that ServiceNow doesn’t know how to vet candidates based on their Design exercise and that their interview loop may be incomplete. As someone who has hired UX Designers in the past, the Design Exercise should only be one of the consideration factors. I felt like they were looking for a “right” answer.

I interviewed in July and moved quickly through the process. I interviewed through referral, so skipped the initial phone screen and moved straight to the hiring manager interview. After our chat, I connected with the recruiter and moved to the final remote "onsite" panel interview.
