The process had multiple rounds 4, to say the least. The rounds were quite long but in one of the interviews, the interviewer didn't show up and there was no response from HR for the same at the time. Later, HR contacted me to reschedule the same.
Almost all the rounds overshot the time by a huge margin (took almost twice the time) and though with every round, the vibe and response from the interviewer were extremely positive, there was no response from HR even after several days.
Post follow up, there were only delays and towards the end, it felt as it was a knee jerk reaction to reject.
Reason for rejection: They had to choose from multiple candidates for same role and they went with another profile.
Why it smells fishy, It took them almost 2.5 half weeks to say this and the day I got this information, 3-4 days earlier another HR from their team reached out to ask me I would be interested to start the interview process with their organization.
I won't recommend wasting your time in interviews with the organization as even after 6-7 hours of interview, the least they could offer is feedback which they don't.
