Interviewed for the Monopoly GO! team. First interview with the HR representative, a very amiable individual who meticulously guided me through the entire process. Home assignment: constructing 4 SQL queries. The task was not overly difficult, but it was important to ensure simplicity and choose appropriate JOIN operations. Initial interview: discussion with the Head of Central Analytics regarding my background, experience, and past projects. Followed by a couple of small business cases centered around mobile marketing metrics. Second interview: meeting with a Senior Data Analyst. Again, relatively straightforward, focusing on my experience, motivations, etc. Third interview with 2 prospective team members. Primarily focused on probing past experiences and assessing familiarity with concepts like SQL Window Functions and other fundamental data analytics principles. I was also tasked with outlining a data-driven marketing strategy for the soft launch of a game. It's crucial to be well-prepared for this aspect, as my response wasn't sufficient, leading to their decision to select another candidate.
