Started the application process by applying online, then followed up in store. Was asked to fill out a paper application once I was there. An assistant manager took me into a office and explained how the Scheels system worked and asked me about my experience. After that I was asked to fill a "long application." This is a handwritten test that involves general aptitude questions, product knowledge questions, spelling correction, grammar correction, math (finding percentages with mixed units), writing an example of a business letter, and personal goals and self worth. The test was timed, It took me a little over an hour to complete. The whole test was graded on handwriting, grammar, spelling, and overall neatness.
