The process had several steps which were mostly fine. The problem begun on the technical interview. The responsible for the technical questions seemed like a junior and asked extremely basic questions. The focus of the position was on API testing. I prepared to answer complex questions on testing strategies, prioritization, security and so on. The tool mentioned was Postman and JMeter, no questions over when to use each tool and for which kinds of testing.
Instead, I was asked about the meaning of a fringe HTTP response code and to recite every tab in a browser inspection window.
They decided to place me on a lower-level position and provided me with a Test Case. I followed the instructions, and the feedback was horrendous.
It was asked for a minimal coding solution with focus on strategy and further improvements. The feedback complained about the simplicity, complained about data teardown saying it was not complete (which is untrue). The engineers evaluating me didn't even read the document provided (I specifically mention the mobile app provided was defective) and the feedback seemed done after looking at the code for 5 seconds.
I spent hours learning a new tool to mobile test, when I have no experience with it and the lack of regard to my time was blatant.
I asked further feedback, especially on the points that were untrue, but none was provided. I'm still waiting for an apology from them.
Coming to this page I can see it is a reoccurring issue with their selection process.
