Very brief, they hire anybody that smiles and breathes. They are pretty desperate for anyone who will accept a low salary, little hours and a dead end job. Apply online and rhey will probably call you. If you can pass a drug test, you will more than likely receive an offer. They will try to sell you on the lie that you could become the next CEO. Dont believe it. I havent met a person yet at Safeway who actually likes working there.

My interview experience was pleasant and straightforward. I was asked a few questions relating to my background in customer service. One day of paid training followed the interview and I was able to quickly begin work.
