Entrevista
The first contact is made by telephone. The phone interview consists of basic questions such as; what do you know about Safelite? Why do you want to work for the company? What do you expect to achieve? Next you go in for a quick 1:1 interview where you go slightly more in depth on your experiences. Then they have a computer listening and typing test. Also your ability to read and type simultaneously. Based on the results of the test it is decided whether or not you can go to the next step for either Customer Service Representative or Telephone Sales Representative. If you take the TSR route next is a second 1:1 interview where you are asked to sell something to the interviewer this will go something like:
Interviewer "What would you like to sell me?"
Me " I will sell you this pen I have because I really like it."
Interviewer "Okay and why should I be interested in that pen?"
Me "Well, this pen is amazing at writing at dark lines in small print."
Interviewer "Is there anything else I would be interested in?"
Me "Also these pens come in all kinds of colors and they are great for color coding."
Interviewer "Well I am interested in the pen but my husband makes all of the decisions about what kinds of pens to buy."
Me "Well then is there a way I can reach your husband to discuss this with him."
That concludes the second 1:1 interview. All in all it is a tedious process but it is not difficult to get hired at Safelite as either a TSR or CSR.

I received an email from a recruiter who invited me to come in for an assessment test. When I arrived, The receptionist gave me a paper that explained the job description. Then, I was seated at a computer and given a typing test and one of those "agree - strongly disagree" assessments, followed by a customer service phone simulator, where an automated voice gives you their information and asks you questions to that you have to answer A, B, C, or D to. When I was finished, I waited in the lobby area for my test scores. The receptionist told me I passed and said I would received an email scheduling an interview. 2 days later I went to my interview and was given a paper with a list windshield wiper details. She asked me to memorize some of the benefits as I sat and was give 10 minutes to review the paper. When my interviewer called me in, she seemed pretty casual so I felt comfortable. She asked me to sell her some windshield wipers as she impersonated a customer. You basically just have to overcome 1 objective by giving 1 benefit of the wipers. From there I was give a sheet that showed available shifts. I chose my shift, picked my start date, then I was on my way.

During the initial computer assessment, there is a section where there are series of patterns and you have to guess what the next shape in the pattern is going to be. It is multiple choice, but you are timed on each pattern.
