Entrevista
was interviewed by the group exec and then by the hiring manager. Mostly job and work description questions. This was followed by a technical review. The interview with the managers was onsite whereas the technical interview was over the phone.

Two level of screening by their architect & director. Followed by one more so called detailed technical round by same architect and then one call from US manager so in total 4 rounds. Nothing difficult, very basic questions on your project work and technologies used and infect below par to architect level. (I had offers that time for same level from startups and their grilling levels are very high including on DS & Algorithms.) After sometime again same architect came for detailed interview on technical aspect. Again below average questions and architect himself did not have much technical knowledge on Java concepts. He asked me about synchronizations, singleton etc which I believe entry level programmers should be asked and then to design Ola like cab aggregator so I gave high level use cases, sub systems, entities, db design etc and over all technology stack but he started asking implementation questions in design phase itself! Which java script library etc you have used and all which I found annoying as it's very much implementation level and without proper use-case and requirements, you should not jump on. I told him about using Kafka and AWS and all which was beyond his knowledge level and these technologies are trending topic right now.
Finally after F2F round HR told me, I was through with all the rounds and US manager will give a call on next day. Got the call and this time some good Java questions like Internals of List, trade off between array vs linked list, why array list doesn't create pointer for next memory location instead of copying entire array in case of scaling etc followed by some garbage collection & heap memory questions. He gave me feedback that I answered good questions and HR will follow up with you but nothing till a week and so dropped mail but no reply. Again called HR next day and she said will call you in 5 mins but another HR guy called up and to my shock he said we can hire you as Tech Lead and not Architect but your role & responsiblities will be same! I was totally pissed off and rejected the offer saying I cannot downgrade myself when I am already working as an Architect. What really pissed me off was that these kind of people who themselves don't have enough technical knowledge are dictating what other person should be for their own insecurity and since he only took technical rounds (and that's why all major organizations have multiple interviewers so there are no bias) so only his opinion mattered. HR guy told me will come back on this again after discussing with the interview panel and nobody came back. I did not bother either as they were using lot of legacy technologies and management looked bit dumb and outdated from latest cutting edge technologies and design solutions.

Very basic java questions: Singletone, synchronization, how garbage collection and memory allocation in jvm works internally, trade off between hashmap vs hashset, arraylist vs linkedlist, why arraylist copies data physically instead of creating memory pointers/reference like linkedlist etc., How hasmap works internally.
