      Entrevista

      The first phone interview with HR was about an hour. The second phone interview was about an hour with the VP of Marketing. The in-person interview was next, with with two marketing employees and the VP of Marketing. Two weeks later, I was given a “project” or “challenge” to complete to see what type of work I am able to produce. I spent several days working hard on an entire marketing plan for the project scenario options they sent. I submitted it and HR complimented me on the work and told me they’d be in touch for the “next steps”. Weeks later, I heard nothing back, so I contacted HR. They informed me that the VP of Marketing was splitting the job description into two separate job descriptions. The VP of Marketing sent them both to me to see which description I was interested in. I told them both jobs looked like a great match for my background and HR told me that the VP of Marketing would call me back to discuss which job would be a good fit. Meanwhile, one of the new job descriptions was reposted online and I never heard another word from them. Not only did they get a free marketing plan from me, but they managed to spread the interviews and project out for 7 weeks with no closure or follow-up. Think twice about interviewing with this company if you want ambiguity, no follow-up, getting the run-around, and donating your time to give them free work.

      It was 2.5 months ago, so I can’t remember specific questions. The project assignment was quite detailed, asking for 2 of the 3 scenarios to be completed, and I completed all 3.

      Thank you so much for your feedback and opinion regarding your interview experience with us for the Acquisition Marketing Manager position. We were interviewing for this position during the holidays, which certainly slowed up our process a bit, and the actual Acquisition Marketing Manager role was the topic of a broader conversation around our 2020 organizational design, as we were evaluating our team structure. As a result, we put the position on hold. This information was communicated to the candidates down-selected for this position. My personal, sincere apologies if you did not receive the communication.
