I applied for the Director, Consultant Relations and Growth Strategy at RxSense on 6/25/2025 and received an automated response on 6/26/2025 requesting I schedule an interview.
Prior to the interview, I returned to the job posting which I found on LinkedIn to realize that the position changed from Remote to on-site in New York City. As I am not local to the area and did not plan to relocate for this opportunity, I communicated that to the Recruiter. She advised that the company is pushing for employees to return to the Manhattan office, but a remote work environment could be negotiated if selected for the role.
During the interview, the Recruiter's overview of the position did not align with the description. As opposed to emphasizing the consulting piece of the title and description, it appeared as though the company was looking for a sales person.
Finally, we discussed compensation. For a Director role in a specialized industry, and the requirement to live in New York City, they were targeting $130,000 to $150,000 which is incredibly low for this role. I have over a decade of experience and this salary is more in line with an analyst role which is disappointing. I also asked if this role had any direct reports and the Recruiter did not know.
With an increase in fake opportunities for employees to either promote their company, do market research, or build their candidate pool, it appears this "opening" falls into one of the aforementioned categories. I would exercise caution when interviewing with this company.
