Initial 5 day selection process to decide whether you have the leadership potential. This is followed by a 9 month initial officer training selection process. After successful graduation then on to trade specific training/ selection, which could be another 6 months to 2 years.

After a filter interview at my local recruitment agency there was an intensive two day selection process. The first day was mostly team building exercises designed to evaluate your leadership and teamwork skills. The second day comprised an intensive interview, provided that you passed the first days selection.

Selection interview followed by attitude testing and for the interviewing and physical tests before you are streamed for a particular role in branch within the air force you then offered a commission for undertaking initial training. Initial training last 6 to 9 months before you receive a commission has enough so you then go to professional training which can vary from three months to 6 years after this you then continue to receive special on the job training and continuation training throughout your career
