Applied online through LinkedIn. The recruiter reached out and set up an interview. The round was focused on DSA, which is fairly standard. The interviewer however, is a junior engineer who has no idea how to properly conduct an interview. As the interview starts, he asks me for an introduction but doesn't introduce himself. Then asks me to turn on my camera, but doesn't turn on his camera. It's still ok, interviewers might not able to turn on video for many reasons but they usually tell that to the interviewee, some even apologize for it but nothing of that sort happened here. Then, leet code links have been pasted on the chat and I was asked to solve them directly on the website as the interviewer remained silent for the rest of the interview duration. I've explained my approach and the corresponding complexities but there wasn't much interaction from interviewer other than the occasional "hmm". As the time ends, he just says "time's over" and ends the interview. The entire process felt like a teacher examining a student rather than the interviewer trying to gauge a potential colleague. Weirdest interview I've ever been a part of. The recruiter then ghosts me without any proper closure.
