i was called in for a meeting with the then-managing editor. it was an hour-long discussion of the job and my experience. i was called in for another meeting to meet the rest of the editorial staff. The process was fairly straightforward and easy. There were no behavioural interview questions, just an honest assessment of whether or not I would fit into the office atmosphere given my skill set and personality. I appreciated the directness of it.
