extremely unprofessional. was contacted months after submitting an initial application and did a short call that the interviewer seemed unprepared for. very disorganized line of questioning, just going through the motions.
was then sent an evaluation test to complete. was told that Korean wasn't needed during the interview. the test primarily involved direct translation checking, so Korean was very much needed. spent a few hours on the evaluation (it was supposed to be done within a relatively short timeframe) and submitted it.
after a couple of weeks, I'd heard nothing back. I wrote an email to the HR person that interviewed me asking if they had received my evaluation, and that I had been anticipating a response. sent the evaluation again "in the event they missed it."
that same day, almost within the hour, they replied with a very impersonal email basically saying the evaluation was denied — no "thanks for your time" or anything, despite me completing a 20-page editing task without compensation of any kind. I basically had to do HR's job for them in contacting them about the result.
after hearing they were not proceeding, I inquired about any issues with the editing task and for tips for future applications. at this point, they just ghosted me.
wholly unprofessional and disrespectful towards prospects. I suggest you hire HR people who actually do their jobs — it seems you're paying people to do a job they aren't doing. just freelance. these people don't care. the pay is poor anyway.
