I went through 4 out of 5 interview rounds for an Account Executive role. The process was overall interesting and fast-paced, but two things really stood out, and not in a good way.
First, 2 out of 5 interviewers were late to the calls, without a single apology or explanation. That alone says a lot about the company culture.
Second, the final round with the Head of Sales was a big disappointment. She was late, cold, and borderline hostile. Her tone felt suspicious and I never felt treated with basic respect. It made for an unnecessarily unpleasant experience, especially after weeks of preparation.
The rest of the process was standard: HR screening, hiring manager call, a case study, and then the final with leadership. It was structured, and I appreciated the clarity.
That said, not once did I feel valued as a candidate, despite having strong experience. It’s part of the game, I guess, but it still leaves a bitter aftertaste.
