It was odd. They had two people interview me. They both asked me the same questions. They made me uncomfortable and I knew I didn’t get the job the minute the interview was over. It was very shady the way they did it though.

      Entrevista

My pre-interview process went well. The recruiter contacted me right when she said she would to tell me about the job. I setup an interview for 7:30 AM on a Friday. I work full-time so I was glad for the flexibility of being able to come in early for the actual interview. I have medical and collections experience, I thought this could be a good fit for both parties. Upon arriving at the office I was directed into a room full of cubicles to complete a standard pre-employment test (wonderlic). The HR Manager was friendly and very polite. Upon finishing my test she more or less told me it was the 2nd highest test score they'd seen. I was then taken into a conference room for the face to face interview. I was feeling very positive about the whole experience up to this point. This was about to change... A male and female were the 2 hiring managers that were conducting my interview. Upon entering the room the woman apologized for her lack of preparedness and exited the room briefly to get her glasses. When she came back into the room I was taken aback by her shrewd demeanor. I figured this might be a good cop bad cop routine in order to test my reaction to a stressful situation. She asked me a multitude of questions. The thing that stood out to me was that woman didn't give ANY kind of positive feedback to any of the answers provided. She had quite the poker face. If my answer didn't satisfy her she would smugly smile at me and let out a condescending sigh. I felt like I was being grilled by a supervisor. This would make more sense if I was actually on the payroll. I tried to roll with the punches as long as I could. Eventually it became clear that I was in a "no win" scenario. She was actively looking for reasons to disqualify me for the position. She picked apart my Resume to shreds. She scrutinized the length I worked at several of my previous jobs. I have been with my current job for 10 months. She kept referring to this as " a few months". I was beginning to wonder what the point of scheduling an interview was considering they had access to this information beforehand. I literally was contemplating walking out. She was treating me like a straight deadbeat. Fortunately the gentlemen was a breath of fresh air and had constructive questions. He freely offered positive feedback. It was too bad that he only accounted for a brief portion of the interview. I was literally on the verge of a panic attack at one point, my hands went numb. I was starting to clam up due to the acidic nature of the interview. I finally decided to stop being a tap dancing monkey for her sake and the real me came out. She really didn't like that. She asked "what is your greatest weakness?". I explained that I don't think that way, I told her that I was "trying to be a better and better version of myself each and every day". She really didn't like that answer, in fact she actually refused to accept that as an answer. I made something up to move the process along. I had to be at work soon and I was getting irritated. She asked me if I had any questions. She did her very best to invalidate any question I had and to make me feel like an idiot. She definitely thinks highly of herself and the company, that much is clear. She advised me that someone would be contacting me to let me know if I got the job either later that day or after the weekend. I asked if that would be Monday, she grimaced and basically acted as if I was being pushy for even asking. (I wish I was making this up). So if you're a free thinking individual with a shred of self-confidence I would encourage you to seek other opportunities. However if you are a mindless drone who prefers to be told how to think and act... This could be a good fit for you. I was honestly relieved to find out that I was passed over for the position. If they could ruin my day with an interview, I'm pretty sure working here could easily ruin anyone's life...

RevSolve is a 100% employee owned company, so we are recruiting career-oriented people who are going to be stockholders and fellow owners of our company. We offer great pay, career advancement opportunities, an extremely rich benefits package, and the stability of an organization that has been in business over 100 years. Consequently, we are not just looking for someone who simply wants a job and certainly never “drones”. Not everyone qualifies for the kind of business ownership career opportunity we offer and I’m sorry you didn’t. We do, however, wish you the best of luck in your job search.
