Multiple stage interview process including take home tech test in JavaScript. After being offered the job I was told hiring had been frozen due to a recent takeover. I was told I would get the official offer “next week” every week for at least a month. Eventually the recruiter just stopped responding to me/didn’t answer phone calls. I naively trusted ResDiary/the recruiter when they told me I was being made an offer and there were purely logistical delays. This caused me to exit the interview process with other good companies, meaning I had to completely restart my job search when I realised that I was being lied to. Main take away - do not trust an offer from ResDiary until you have a contract in hand
