I went through the Sales Development Manager Interview process, had 4 interviews. Everything was going really well, great feedback, was told I wasn’t being compared to anyone when I asked how I compared to other candidates. Then got an email saying “At this time, they are looking for a more senior manager to add to the team. Ideally, they are looking for someone with experience working with larger teams of SDRs from a larger organization.” If a company knows what’s on a candidates resume then they can’t use that against them later on in the process, if a candidate doesn’t fit your profile - don’t lead them on. It’s honestly unfortunate because I was very passionate about the product and the company. Wish them the best!
