Interview process began when I came across the role and reached out to the recruiter via LinkedIn. He was very quick to respond and we set up a time to talk. It was clear pretty quickly I was a good fit based on my background. He then set up a call with his boss, the head of Talent Acquisition. We talked and he was already discussing flying me down to Raleigh NC to their HQ for an on site interview... Great! I took a day and a half out my schedule to fly down, spend the day in interviews, then fly back. I thought the on site interviews all went really well. Here's where it went downhill. They promised me I'd hear something by the end of the week... Nothing. I follow up... Nothing. I do one more gentle follow up.... Nothing. Then, over two weeks after my on site, I get a call with an update. I respect that at this point they were transparent, and were down to me and one other candidate, but at no point apologized for going silent for 2+ weeks. They promised to get back to me by the end of the week... Then, you guessed it- nothing. It's now been 19 days since that last call, with not a single update. Obviously I'm guessing at this point they've moved on with the other candidate, but really poor form to treat a candidate like that, after I took significant time out of my schedule to fly down and meet with your team.

The interview process is detailed and long. You will meet with several people over a period of time. It may feel like a long process but Red Hat is thorough in it's interviewing.
