After completing the online competency and core values questionnaires, I was invited to the R&D HQ in Hull.
Before the interview I was asked to prepare a 15 minute presentation which contained 3 innovative ideas that used an existing technology applied to the personal care category. The presentation was given to a group of 8 employees who all had questions on the ideas..so come prepared for a grilling!
Then I was given a 1-to-1 interview for competency and technical knowledge which included questions on current RB products, the questions were focused around technical knowledge of the ingredients and claims of the product example provided.

Pregunta 1
What ingredient is responsible for the claim xxxxxx? What is your assessment of this product? What would you change about product given the opportunity & who would else would need to be involved to get the product to the market?
Simple and straightforward - R&D manager asked questions about formulations and products to see thought process. Overall, just know the basic chemistry of the products and showcasing that you think outside the boss can impress.
1st interview was very informal and only lasted 8 minutes for me.
2nd interview lasted an hour asking many questions, some being usuall questions like when have you inspired someone then also many questions about projects I worked on at uni and a lot of them relating to working as a team.
Final question was a competency question about if a fragrance turned brown after exposure heat, what would you and what problems could this cause.

Entrevista
Two separate interviews- the first a short call with a hiring manager just to know you are actually interested in the role. The second interview lasted around 45mins-1hr, one half general questions and the second half more technical. The second interview was with two people who are directly involved with the R&D team. They asked some specific questions that included scenarios of product materials failing during testing and customer use.
