Lots of work with little reward. Their interview process requires a take-home case study project as the second round. If you clear the generic HR screening, then you have to complete this case study to even be considered for a formal interview with the actual hiring team. They give you ~2 days to complete it and it will take multiple hours to create because you won't be presenting this to an actual human being, so it's in your best interest to put in 100% effort. I know people have different opinions on case studies being a part of the interview process at all as it's free labor/often an excuse for companies to steal ideas, but at the very least, they're usually requested towards the end when you are a final candidate. Requesting hours of work from you without a guarantee of an interview to at least have your ideas heard/acknowledged didn't make me feel valued as an applicant. Yes, it was my decision to move forward and complete the evaluation but it does feel like they are taking advantage of peoples' desperation in this market.
