Was initially contacted by a recruiter via my LinkedIn profile. Switched over to email and exchanged some correspondence including my current resume. Recruiter committed to scheduling an initial phone interview, rescheduled it 15 min. prior to the call. The initial call with the recruiter was very surface. Perhaps only for the purpose of screening. Recruiter was to quickly set up a call with the hiring manager. Then silence for a week. I followed up via email and the recruiter responded that hiring manager was not responsive. Shortly later set a time that the hiring manager would call. The call never came. I sat waiting for nearly half hour. No email. No call. It all seemed a little sloppy, so I pulled my name from consideration. The recruiter didn't try and keep me. Was I ever a candidate? It seemed to lack structure and genuine concern for my time.
