I was welcomed and asked to perform various weld types on 1/16th sheet metal. My skill and potential were determined from this and was the number one concern. Basic conversation and how I handled myself led them to determine if I would be able to get along with others. Interviews I have witnessed after my employment show a very accommodating interview style. If the skills are not there, they give advice and see how well its followed, and how well people can self correct with proper information, and even offer an extended interview to get practice in to show potential.
