First phone call with an internal recruiter, then an “interview” with the hiring manager. Immediately after I cut the interview short, I emailed the recruiter to withdraw my application. The interview with this woman was extremely uncomfortable and awkward. She muted herself “to take notes”, so it’s basically a one way interview. After years of experience I’m worth more than that. She was also extremely dismissive and passive aggressive. When I finished answering one of her extremely generic behavioral questions she just said with a flat tone “what else?”. Plus, this is the kind of manager you will be afraid to ask questions to. I asked a few questions and her answers were “I was under the impression that hailey already told you”. After this I thanked her for her time and quit the interview halfway through. . Thank goodness experience taught me how to spot bad managers quickly
