Future manger took the first round over the phone, then a functional in-person panel, then internal leadership (Chief of Staff, Head of Function, CEO). There was a project that mostly evaluated critical thinking and sensitivity around social matters.

They provided some background, but it was hard to nail down expectations. It seemed they were going through a transition or had experienced a lot of change. It wasn't entirely clear what they were looking for or exactly what direction to take.

      Entrevista

Extremely drawn-out process (over the course of 2 months), highly unresponsive and ultimately unprofessional by the end of our correspondence. Initially applied through LinkedIn (pre- COVID). Received a request for a phone interview, but couldn't be held until two weeks from initial correspondence due to "internal scheduling conflicts." Initial phone interview with head of talent was straightforward. She spent the majority of our time discussing the agency's offerings and their focus on equity/diversity. I did get to discuss resume highlights and notable projects, but did not get to ask as many questions as I would have liked. I sent a follow up shortly after the interview, but did not receive any further update until two weeks later, when I was asked to complete a recruitment exercise in preparation for a second-round interview. The exercise was standard and compelling, albeit a bit time consuming. After submitting the assessment, I moved on to a second round interview with three team members via video call where I presented my project. The interview was once again scheduled two weeks after confirmation of receipt due to team scheduling conflicts. There were two links provided for the meeting and I unknowingly clicked the wrong one, and attempted to email HR for assistance during my interview. They were unresponsive. I eventually clicked on the other link and was able to access the meeting just fine, but I wish the folks I was working with would have helped me a bit more during this crucial time (during the actual interview). The interview with the team was once again straightforward, and I really enjoyed meeting everyone. Everything seemed pretty positive. I followed up with a question for HR after this last interview immediately after the interview with the team and got a response the same day. However, I sent a final follow up exactly two weeks from the last interview to get an update on the status of the job (and whether or not I'd be moving forward) and never heard back. This was extremely disappointing-- and honestly, quite rude-- considering my correspondence with HR was really personable up to this point (even if there were long periods of waiting) and the team seemed really thoughtful, especially since they put such a strong focus on equity. Ultimately, it's very unprofessional to not even have the courtesy to respond to a candidate who has spent months interviewing and completing an assessment. Even if the job was filled, I expect to at least receive confirmation of my own status and not be blatantly ghosted by a company. I understand all businesses have been affected by COVID and timing might be limited, etc., but this type of disregard for the individuals that interview here reflects poorly on Purpose-- especially during a time of crisis. I sincerely hope the Talent team can improve process in the future.
