Basically they start out by calling you to schedule an interview. When you arrive for the interview the MIC (Manager In Charge) which is most likely the store manager, or assistant store manager will shake your hand after a brief introduction. After this they will bring you to the managers office for questions. I got hired on the spot, but some people are told they will get a call by a certain time if they get the job. Then you come in for pre-orientation. They give you your uniform, name tag and instructions to get to the CTL (Centralized Training Location) for your district. They will possibly give you a store tore on this date or your first day in your store. Orientation is a 8 hour day at the CTL, they provide you with important information on the company, and they feed you with a sandwich, chips and a drink.
The interview process at Publix was pleasant and moved quickly. From the moment I applied, the communication was clear and professional. I was contacted within a few days to schedule an interview, and the in-person conversation felt friendly and straightforward. The interviewer made me feel comfortable, asked thoughtful questions, and gave me a clear overview of the role. Overall, it was an easy, smooth experience that left a great impression of the company.

I went through the interview process as a senior in high school looking for their first job. I felt like the interviewer understood that & tailored with the questions to fit my entry-level status. They were very cordial & provided a comfortable interview environment. However, there was a bit of a waiting period between submitting the application & getting a call-back to schedule the interview.
