      Entrevista de Front-End Web Developer

      15 jul 2016
      Candidato de entrevista anónimo
      Irving, TX
      Sin oferta
      Experiencia negativa
      Entrevista fácil

      Solicitud

Solicité el puesto a través de una agencia de empleo. El proceso duró 5 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Provista (Irving, TX) en jul 2016

      Entrevista

a phone screen, followed by a face-to-face. the interview didn't start off well. the very first thing director of IT said was, "so you only have one car. describe how this is going to work." i replied, "i'm going to have the car, and my wife is going to be at home." he then continued to press the issue by saying, "what about kids and school," assuming, incorrectly, that we had children. i really didn't need him to be presumptuous and rude right from the get go. and to be honest, he did not sound friendly at all - seemed almost annoyed with the fact that we only had one car. i'm not saying he should start off by telling jokes, but making candidates feel like he/she may have made a mistake is not the way to go. well, i tried my best to stay focused and positive throughout the interview, which lasted an hour and a half, but i guess that wasn't good enough for them. they asked very little technical questions, and technical questions they did ask were, as far as i'm concerned, irrelevant. did you really need to know if i knew how to close html tags...? seriously...? two more things: at the end he assured me that he would not make me wait and wonder, and would contact the recruiter asap, as well as provide feedback. well, asap to me means by eod the following day, not three days later. and no, "moving forward with another candidate," is NOT a feedback. as far as i'm concerned, he failed to deliver what he promised. to summarize, inappropriate start to the interview, and not delivering what he promised equals questionable character. i'm glad i didn't get the job.
