I had seven 30 minute 1on1 interviews over the course of a month. The interviews questions were often repetitive and the process would have made much more sense if these were group interviews. After this I was directed to provide only supervisor references from only positions that were listed on my resume. Given these constraints I was unable to provide their desired references and was rejected. I would not suggest applying if you are unable to provide these types of references. I also wouldn't suggest lying and giving a friends name. I did provide a mentor that I worked under and she described the reference process as intense and that she felt as though she was being interviewed herself.
