I was using this as an opportunity for practice, but prepared nonetheless. Hiring manager showed up late, disclosed it was to let her dogs out, then outlined the role in the broadest of terms, but indicated it's a mix of content development and instructional design, although the role is content developer. Interviewer was repeatedly interrupted by connection issues and a teenager with a snack. No targeted questions about my experience as a managing editor leading three publications. Extended the meeting to continue discussion. I sent a thank-you message that evening, got an obvious blow-off reply, followed by an HR rejection email that detailed I'm lacking in leadership skills. Bummer!
