I was interviewing for a developer position. There were multiple stages: 1. There was an initial phone screen with the usual fit questions. Very straightforward sanity test. 2. In person brief fit test followed by a paper coding quiz. The quiz was challenging because it was a) on paper and b) time boxed to 20 minutes. 3. In person technical interview with other developers. There were some coding puzzles and technical discussions about past experience. 4. In person interview with the development lead. I thought the guys at Polar Mobile were great. The team seemed awesome. Their office was small and the team's small too, but they're doing big things. The work culture was relaxed but had an energizing startup intensity to it. If you don't mind working for a smaller software company I highly recommend checking them out!
