Entrevista
I received a phone call about a two weeks after I applied to inform me that they would like to move forward with an interview. My interview was scheduled for a week later. I arrived on time but was instructed that the HR recruiter was busy and there would be a wait. After 30 minutes she came out and we went into her office. It was a very easy interview and I felt as though she liked me and what I had to offer. She brought me over to the department where I would be working to be interviewed by two more people. One of them was nice and asked me very basic questions. The other lady outright rudely asked why am I going to school if I'm a mother and how could I possibly do that and expect to work? I guess mothers are suppose to just not work or attend school. She didn't even try to hide her dislike for me. Even though I have 10 years of retail experience she told me that my experience wouldn't matter because a hospital gift shop is way busier and she didn't think I had enough experience to handle it. It was very weird. I'm actually glad I'm not working for them, I prefer to be in a work environment that encourages their employees to succeed and not stifle them.
