I applied online to three different positions and was contacted by all three. I had a phone call for each position which consisted of a brief interview asking for a little background and about my resume and why I wanted to intern at Pfizer. I was contacted for each position around 3 days after and received all three. It seems that it is easy to get an internship at Pfizer if you have a connection, but much more difficult if you do not.

There was a background check, a phone/skype interview process where they mostly asked about your resume and behavioral questions. They also give you the chance to ask them questions, so be sure to be prepared for that.
