HR called me after applying on their job posting page (this took more than two months) and answer questions via HireView.
After a couple of days I received a technical test with some guidelines. After completing it an waiting around a week, the technical interview with the hiring manager + the security team was set.
The technical interview arrived, it was hard, fun and I enjoyed it a lot!
- They performed code review to the challenge they send me, why I did such thing in that way and how to improve it.
- Questions related to network monitoring and how to identify IoC.
- Review a code and understand what is doing (bash script) at that point it was checking for malicious content in an enconded format.
- Situational questions: What happens if there is a zero day, how will you help to identify if that vulnerability is being exploited?
This interview took around 3 hours, and I was really happy, the team was awesome and the manager such a great person!
They told me that they were happy and they wanted me to join their team. BUT after a week HR called me and told me that the company cannot hire me because it was the end of the fiscal year, and they stop all the hiring process. They were really sad BUT this is something that is out of their control.
So please consider any possible curve ball like that.
