Interview process was with two other store managers. Went extremely well. Answered questions about inventory management, customer engagement, associate safer. All that good stuff. Was called back the next day for an offer. Was extremely excited. I worked the past 12 years managing a different retail. And I’ve smoked weed every day for the past 12 years. Here’s where the problem comes in

Was contacted by a recruiter about the position. Had an interview set up with them, went well then interviewed with the DM. Thought that went well, was told they wanted to move forward and have me do the final interview for the position. A week went by with nothing, everything else moved so quickly, so I sent the recruiter a message to follow up. Was told they got told very late the night before that they weren’t interested and would be moving on with someone else. Weird but ok. But think I’d be better suited for other lower positions. Which I would have loved to still do to get in with the company and work my way up if that’s what it took. However I was ghosted on that and the original job is still posted for over 2 months so I’m guessing they are just using that to bait other candidates in for other positions.
