Entrevista
There are two petsmarts in nyc, and you have to apply online. I applied to 3 different positions at both petsmart. I received a call 3 days later, it was the manager telling me to come in for an interview. The interview was pretty straight forward, why would you like to work here, are you comfortable with dogs,cats, etc.How would you benifet the company, previos work experience. Then we talked about availability, I told her how I spend 17 hours a week in College, but Im pretty flexible to work on weekends or holidays. She said that wouldn't be a problem, and she would call after she interviews the rest of the people.

The most unexpected question was would I be willing to take the pre emplyoment drug test. ... Of course i said yes, and passed.
The interviewer, the assistant store manager at the time, was very nice and kind. She created a very relaxed atmosphere during the interview, which I appreciated, especially since interviews can make me very anxious.

Have you worked with animals before? What would you say your greatest weakness is?
Easy and laid back. Don’t sweat it, just answer with a bit of common sense. Everything was quick once I had been called for an interview. However, my application had been sitting for months before I received a call. Fairly normal for this industry.
You call on the phone to express your interest and they will interview you pretty quickly after that. You come in and usually the manager or assistant manager asks you basic animal care questions and your experience with customer service. Overall pretty easy interview process
