After an initial screen, received a take home assessment. It was three different frontend assignments— relatively easy. However, I have a sneaking suspicion my recruiter forgot to turn them in. Only after following up after submitting a few days later did my recruiter pass them along to the team. I was told the team really liked my work and I’d be moving onto the next round, only to find out the morning of my next interview they filled the position.

Detailed email from recruiter outlining the expectations for the first round of interviews. Then, first round of interviews with the Software Engineering Lead and the Engineering Director. Behavioral-style interviews. They asked me about my previous experience, and why I wanted this role.

Bad interview process. Interviewed for a backend Go Ad Platform team. They wanted me to do a take home that will take you hours to build --basically create a CLI and REST API endpoint with multiple reqs. In addition to that, there is a 1hr15min tech round. Tech interviewers were not engaged. Was told they want a person with more experience. Pay is bad for the amount of experience they are asking for especially in Go, good luck. Other offers will beat theirs. Glad I didnt join their team.
