I worked for Random House before it was Penguin Random House, and then moved across the country because of my fiance's job. About a year later, a position opened up near my new location and I applied. an HR rep in NYC contacted me about the position; we had a brief phone interview and she subsequently scheduled an interview with the hiring managers near me. When she sent me an email confirming the interview, she spelled both the first and last name of one of the two people I was interviewing with wrong, and gave me incorrect instructions about the building's location. I let it go. After the interview, I sent around thank you emails and was told I'd have feedback within two weeks. Three weeks later, I hesitantly emailed HR. She asked for references and said they'd have an answer next week. Another week goes by. I had another offer in the meanwhile and communicate that to them. I get back an answer saying they've changed the nature of the role and are looking for a different skill set than mine. Overall, it took well over a month for them to get back to me. The first time I went through the hiring process, it took about three months. So be prepared for a very long wait.
