My review of this interview is not a reflection of how I feel about the company.
Wow, I couldn't have been more excited to interview with Peloton. I was sent an email by a hiring manager with a request to set up my interview time. My interview was first thing in the morning and was via zoom. The Manager was late, appeared rushed and not prepared, they didn't even say my name, not once, throughout the entire interview. The first question was if I was local to NYC, which I am not. The role did not specify one way or the other, but the hiring manager was firm that the marketing manager wanted a local candidate. I was immediately out of the running.
The manager did mention that the local employment market was not producing qualified candidates. I'm surprised this was stated, given the immediate discount of myself not being available to work in the office since I was not local. If qualified candidates are not applying locally, why not expand it beyond NYC? (plus I see the job was reposted, two weeks after my interview)
We continued to chat, I asked multiple questions about the role, team, culture, etc. Overall, I felt that we had a great back and forth, but I did basically interview myself and tried to relate as much back to my experience and skill set for this role.
After the interview, I followed up with a Thank You email and did not receive a response and have not heard one way or the other about the position. It's been about a month.
