I was very disappointed in this interviewing process because based on the Interviewing reviews I had very high expectations. A recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn, and I reached out to her shortly after. A few days went by and still no response, so I proceeded to call the recruiter and she picked up and apologized for being busy. A few more days went by and she finally scheduled a phone interview. We had the phone interview and the opportunity seemed great! I am actually working with a competitor of Paylocity so this would've been a very easy transition for me. When we had the phone screen the recruiter seemed to ask very basic questions. She asked very little about my background, but provided a lot of information about Paylocity, which was fine because the opportunity and growth seems awesome. I asked if she would be proceeding with me and her answers were not clear because she said she was working with a new hiring manager. This seemed a bit off to me, but I thought maybe she was busy and overwhelmed. I sent a Thank you note and then went 3 weeks without a response from the recruiter, even after I reached out twice to get an update. I also found out that one of my former coworkers was interviewing with the same recruiter. My former coworker informed me that she was having the same experience with the same recruiter. I decided to reach out to a friend of mine who is a recruiter at Paylocity that actually suggested I apply to Paylocity. My friend apologized that her colleague was not being responsive and reached out to the recruiter for me to get an update. I immediately got a response from the unresponsive recruiter stating the hiring manager did not want to move forward with no explanation. I asked for feedback and I have not gotten a response to this day and that was a over a month ago. Again, I was disappointed by this experience with Paylocity because it seems as though the company has really taken initiatives to improve candidate experience.

It was 2:1 interview style They asked questions about previous sales expirence and relationship building. They were very clear on the role, and were open to any questions. I personally asked a lot and they were chill but respectable people
