Unprofessional and Disappointing
I interviewed for the Site Reliability Engineer position at Pattern Technologies, Pune. While the technical rounds went well and I cleared all stages, the experience took a negative turn afterward. HR informed me that I would receive a reference check email as the next step—but that email never came. I was completely ghosted, with no communication or closure.
For a company that promotes itself as a “Great Place to Work” with an emphasis on culture and professionalism, this behavior was disheartening. Ghosting a candidate after promising further steps is not just unprofessional—it’s disrespectful to the time and effort candidates invest in the process.
Even a simple rejection or explanation would have been better than silence. This experience makes me question the authenticity of their employer branding and values. I hope they take this feedback seriously and improve their candidate experience going forward.
