      Solicitud

Solicité el puesto a través de un captador. El proceso duró 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Parsec (NY) (Salt Lake City, UT) en may 2021

      Entrevista

I had four zoom interviews and one project which consisted of about 5 questions on Salesforce processes (workflows/process builders, reports, dashboards, etc.) and then one other zoom call for the project review which was fairly short. I was told people typically meet with the CEO as well but I was on a tight schedule due to other pending offers. I did meet with the CEO on my first day. One of my Zoom interviews wasn’t typical because they had just hired for another role I would be collaborating with closely so it was important that person approve of the hire for my role. I was very impressed with how personable, experienced, and interesting everyone was. Each interviewer had an impressive amount of experience with big name companies which gave me confidence in choosing this startup as opposed to a more established company. They all had excellent things to say about each other and other employees which showed me there was a great company culture with mutual respect and collaboration. I was most impressed with how there didn’t seem to be a hierarchy or strict adherence to years of experience/job title. The title for my position actually wasn’t established until my offer letter was sent out. It was clear they just wanted the right person for the job and were willing to overlook apparent lack of experience. Each interviewer seemed to value both industry knowledge as well as culture fit equally. They’re not just looking for another cog in the machine, they want someone who can do the job but is also enjoyable to work with. I found myself enjoying the conversations so much that most interviews went over the allotted hour because we were enjoying the conversation. I also found it very impressive that my interview with another strategic role I’d be working closely with (director of inside sales) constructed the interview to be more of a brainstorming/collaborative session which did a fantastic job of demonstrating how we would work together. Usually people hired for that role seem to be glorified account executives who are good at selling but lack business knowledge. Their hire for this role was more Operations focused which I think will be extremely beneficial for the company and will be much easier to work with in my role. All around very impressive interview process that left me excited about the role and the company and gave me a good look into what working there would be like.
