I was referred by a friend and submitted my application online. Its a big company therefore, the odds of getting called without prior internship experience are slim. If they choose to interview you, they email a form to fill out with minor details about yourself and a time frame in which they can call you for a phone interview. After the phone interview the college relations recruiter sends you the contact information of someone in the department you are interested in based on your discussion, where you then have to schedule an in person interview with the department.

One screening call, then an easy interview w a specific team — received the offer that same day from the recruiter that had initially interviewed me. Overall a relatively simple and straight forward process.

The communication is extremely inconsistent. It’s understandable that a large company like Viacom may not be quick with there responses. However, some departments within Viacom post job positions online similar to the fast food industry. Whereas they are not currently hiring for the role but they want applications on file.

Entrevista
Short online application, upload CV and basic questions. Followed by an invitation to an assessment day which consisted of a brief presentation of the company from HR staff, a group assignment, a short interview and an email writing assignment. The assessment day was then followed up with a longer interview, approximately an hour, with two members of the communications team.
